DEBASHISH BAKSHI
ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

As an Associate Attorney at Blackstone Law, Debashish Bakshi represents employees in wage-and-hour class actions and in claims under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).

Prior to joining Blackstone Law, Debashish gained six years of experience as an associate at plaintiff-side class action firms with a focus on securities and antitrust cases. In one of those cases, Debashish was a member of the trial team that secured a jury verdict holding a pharmaceutical corporation and its CEO accountable for federal securities fraud. In addition to his years of legal practice, Debashish also has experience in litigation finance and as a law school career advisor.

Debashish graduated from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly known as the University of California, Hastings College of the Law), where he served as a Staff Editor of Hastings Business Law Journal and a Senior Notes Editor of Constitutional Law Quarterly. During law school, Debashish externed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California for the Honorable Laurel Beeler, and he also served as a teaching assistant in legal writing and moot court courses. Debashish earned his B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.

Debashish is licensed to practice in California and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their senior tuxedo cat Squeeze.
